The Australian Ecolabel Program is just one way we express our commitment to the environment. Long before any measurable standards were in existence, we created and operated our own environmental initiatives based on the reduce–reuse–recycle principles. These policies and procedures include : -

• Almost all of the wood components used in our timber lockers are sourced from plantation pine, a renewable and sustainable resource.
• Our modern plant and equipment, supported by intelligent software programs ensures maximum economy in the consumption of materials, thus minimising off cuts and waste.
• We seek to minimize our consumption of energy throughout the factory and office environment.
• We aim to reduce our consumption of office consumables and product packaging materials wherever feasible, reducing landfill
• To reduce landfill, we consolidate offcuts and transfer them (at our cost) to a business partner who uses it as fuel to produce energy.
• We promote materials and products that have achieved environmental endorsement, such as Laminex EO board, noted for its formaldehyde free* particleboard.

*Low Emission (EO) particleboard is an ultra low formaldehyde grade substrate produced using enhanced eco-friendly technology. Manufactured under strict controls, it is certified to international standards and is suitable for use in all Green Star Rated projects.
